U17 County Player Nominations
U17 County Nominations Open
DCRFU are delighted to announce that this years U17 County Nominations are now open for nominations.
After an uncertain period of time it is great to see rugby in the County return to some normality with a thriving Colts league across the North East and Cumbria.
We are now inviting nominations for the U17 program and have set out the following criteria for nominations.
All nominated players must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible for nomination
Resident in County Durham
Born in County Durham
Play for a Club/School/College registered in County Durham
Be eligible to play, by age u17's rugby.
Do they make you GASP? This is key backbone of the selection/nomination process and is used in conjunction with the Newcastle Falcons. Identify, before nomination if a player shows strong potential in any of these areas.

PHYSICAL POTENTIAL
Must be available on ALL of the following dates for assessment, development and games
10th April Selection Day
8th May Development Day
15th May Game Day
22nd May Game Day
29th May Game Day
Clubs with Falcons Academy PDG players registered we will speak with the Academy directly about the release of players to the program. They do not need to be nominated by their club.
Could all nominations please be completed by the players club/school/college coach only and not by individual players or parents via the attached Google Doc. The closing date for applications is the 1st of April.

All nominated players will be invited to attend an assessment day where we will trial and assess the players to determine the development squad from where the coaches will decide on exact numbers for the playing opportunities.
