Durham County RFU President is fielding two Presidents XV sides for upcoming games

Durham County RFU President David Sawyer is fielding two presidents XV sides over the next couple of weeks, with games against The Teeside Barbarians and Hartlepool RFC.


The first game will be played at Darlington Mowden Park Arena on 27th April against The Teeside Barbarians. The game is a curtain raiser before DMP's last home game of the season.


The Barbarians team is being assembled by Carl hall, player with Stockton RFU and well know Durham County Referee. The team will comprise members of all clubs within kicking distance of the River Tees.


David Sawyers President's XV will be made up of players from all the Northern clubs in the county. With David asking each club to nominate two players each.


The second game will be played on 5th May at Hartlepool's Mayfield Park against Hartlepool RFC.


Players for this Presidents XV will comprise two players from each club South of the county.


All funds raised from the games will be donated to the Doddie Weir Foundation.
