Durham County RFU Schools Union YMO Programme

What is it?

The Durham Young Match Officials Programme offers school pupils a pathway into officiating rugby union at schools’ festivals and cup competitions. As part of the programmes, pupils will either complete their Ready to Ref (15 a-side game) or the Quilter Kids First Refereeing Qualification (U9-13). This programme also creates a route into refereeing for the Durham County Referee’s Society.

How to get involved?

You can get involved by getting your schools to firstly, sign up to become a member of the schools’ union (Link to previous page about signing up). Secondly, you can get in touch via email to express your interest in the programme
