Welcome to Durham RFU! We are proud to be the governing body for rugby union in the historic county of Durham, our borders are the rivers Tyne & Tees, the coast & the Cumbrian border. We are dedicated to supporting our clubs in the governance, delivery, and growth of the game.

Run by dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, we work tirelessly to provide guidance and resources across key areas, including; governance, safeguarding, coach development, player welfare, and competitions. We also celebrate achievements through awards and provide playing pathways through the RFU, Newcastle Falcons PDG and county representative teams.

Our mission is to ensure rugby in Durham thrives – ensuring that rugby is grown and developed to be the best it can be and will remain sustainable for generations to come.
