Safe, Compliant & Enjoyable Rugby Tours

Durham County RFU is committed to ensuring all rugby tours are safe, well-organised, and compliant with RFU regulations.

Clubs must gain approval before:

• Touring outside Constituent Body  (Outside Durham County RFU) – Apply at least 1 month before departure

• Touring outside England (Outgoing Tour) – Apply at least 1 month before departure

• Hosting an international team (Incoming Tour) – Apply at least 2 months before the tour

 

All applications must be submitted well in advance. Use the relevant forms below and submit it to DCRFU for review. Failure to submit within the timescales may result in the tour not being approved.

Why Do You Need Approval?

• Player Welfare & Safety – Ensures adequate supervision, safeguarding, and risk management.

• Regulatory Compliance – Aligns with England Rugby and World Rugby tour policies.

• Insurance & Legal Coverage – Confirms that all players are covered for rugby activities and travel.

• Fair Play & Integrity – Ensures tours comply with age-grade rugby and safeguarding guideline
