U17 Boys Durham County Representative Nominations now open

We are delighted to call for nominations for this years u17 County Representative programme.

There is a massive buzz around this years program as we plan for the Assessment Day on the 12th January 2020. (

Venue and timings to be confirmed)

We are asking all clubs, schools and colleges to nominate players who make you GASP!

GASP is the acronym used by the Newcastle Falcons for identifying the best talent in the North East and Cumbria and we have adopted it in County Durham. It stand for:

Game Sense Attitude Skill Set Physical Potential

As well as the GASP criteria we want to hear about players who have the ambition and ability to grow and develop on the Aspirational and Elite Pathways.

This years campaign is led by the following experienced coaches;

Dan Finney - Head Coach Craig Gilmour - Coach Phil Lax - Manager

We are asking coaches and teachers to nominate the best of the best supported by a short statement for each player as to why they make you GASP.

All of last years u16 County Squad and eligible Newcastle Falcons Academy players will be invited to attend also so no need to renominate them.

Please complete the simple form attached and return to Phil Lax, Team Manager on philjlax@hotmail.co.uk no later than 15th December. Only players nominated and registered prior to this date will be assessed on the 30th.

If you have any questions please contact me, David Hill, Player Pathway Manager on 07522 758395.
