U17 County Coaches Selection

DCRFU U17 County Representative Roles

We are delighted to announce that we are commencing the search for this seasons County Boys U17 Representative Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Manager. To apply you must be available for all of the following dates:

10th April 2022

8th May 2022

15th May 2022

22nd May 2022

29th May 2022

The Roles on offer are:

Head Coach

You will be expected to be a minimum Lev2 (or equivalent) coach with aspirations towards Lev3 who ideally has experience of running a pathway program and leading a team of coaches with a clearly defined vision. As the window for selection and coaching is so small you must be able to act quickly and decisively with a clear plan for the program. Strong communication skills as a must combined with good relationship management.

Assistant Coach x 2 (Forwards and Backs)

You will be expected to be a minimum Lev2 (or equivalent) coach with strong experience in your chosen expertise. (forwards/backs) and have demonstrated experience with Colts rugby and preferably within a pathway/county setting also. You will be required to learn and understand the Head Coaches philosophy and contribute to this for your area of expertise. This is a very hands on role with accountability for your area.

Team Manager

The ideal candidate will be someone who is already involved in the administration side of a rugby club and or team. They will have a strong attention to detail and a willingness to work with the coaching team to ensure clear lines of communication with the coaching staff, physios and opposition managers.

The U17 program commences in April 2022 with a selection day, however all roles will be appointed by no later than Mid March 2022 for training and planning purposes.

Team Manager applicants should just send a covering letter by way of application to dcrfu@rfu.com with the Subject 'U17 Team Manager'.

In the first instance we will screen the applications, then telephone interviews will be held for successful applicants before final selection. Where possible feedback will be provided to unsuccessful candidates.

Closing date is Sunday the 6th March and no applications will be considered after this date.
