Durham City Rugby Club set to launch female section with the help of Durham University Women’s team

Durham City Rugby Club have partnered with Durham University Women’s team to launch a new Women and Girls’ section at the club.

The aim of the launch with development days is to welcome new females to the game, or returning players in the U15, U18 and Women’s age groups.

Durham University Publicity officer, Lydia Otulakowski said: “We are really excited about this venture.

“And we would love to broadcast its arrival throughout Durham to recruit new girls, to try out this great sport!”

The development days are set to take place on September 16th and September 30th, from 1pm until 3pm.

Each event will conclude the fun filled activity based day with a complimentary BBQ, and of course the bar will be open!

Those attending can even grab a chance to win a free shirt, all you have to do is go along to both sessions.

Does this sound like something that could be a fun opportunity for you, or even your mum, sister, friend or cousin? Well head over to the Facebook event now to keep in touch with all the information for the two days.
