‘Outstanding Contribution to Rugby’

On Friday 6th September, England took on Italy at St James Park, Newcastle. This was a great moment for the North East, hosting an international Warm up Game before the World Cup commenced this week.

It was also a great moment to recognise the outstanding volunteers, and their contribution towards the game.

Durham County RFU Volunteer Committee Chairman, Charles Thorburn, was recognised for his outstanding contribution to Rugby.

Chairman of Durham County Club, Ryton RFC and committee member of Durham County RFU, he was praised for his commitment to the game.

Well done to Charles Thorburn, and thank you for all your hard work you do for Rugby.
