U16 Boys Durham County Representative Nominations now open

Updated: Dec 17, 2019

2019/20 U16 County Representative Programme

We are delighted to call for nominations for this years u16 County Representative programme.

There is a massive buzz around this years program as we plan for the Assessment Event on the week commencing the 25th November at a venue to be confirmed.

We are asking all clubs, schools and colleges to nominate players who make you GASP!

GASP is the acronym used by the Newcastle Falcons for identifying the best talent in the North East and Cumbria and we have adopted it in County Durham. It stand for:

  • Game Sense

  • Attitude

  • Skill Set

  • Physical Potential

As well as the GASP criteria we want to hear about players who have the ambition and ability to grow and develop on the Aspirational and Elite Pathways.

This years campaign is led by the following experienced coaches;

  • Steve Passman – Head Coach

  • Nigel Aucott – Backs Coach

We are asking coaches and teachers to nominate the best of the best supported by a short statement for each player as to why they make you GASP.

All of last years u15 County Squad and eligible Newcastle Falcons Academy players will be invited to attend also so no need to renominate them.

Please share this around your teaching and club networks to ensure we get it out to all concerned.

Please complete the simple form attached and return to me at stevepassman@durhamdpp.co.uk no later than Friday 22nd November, 2019.  Only players nominated and registered prior to this date will be assessed on the 30th.

If you have any questions please contact me, David Hill, Player Pathway Manager on 07522 758395.
