Volunteering opportunity with Back in the Game Project

Durham County RFU has recently been awarded money

from the RFU to run a very focused project around clubs struggling to put out one adult male team. The project is aimed at helping clubs that have identified a need for extra support around player recruitment and retention.

We are going to run the project from the end of March to the end of May and are looking for some volunteers to help run and deliver the project. Volunteering with this project will entail;

  • Meeting at the start to help design the project and outline key tasks

  • Communicate with key stakeholders about the project via email

  • Work with 4 Durham clubs to create a competition format focused on helping them recruit players

  • Deliver the above competition

  • Communicate back with key stakeholders how the project is going and if any more help is needed

  • Help clubs with player recruitment campaigns

If you think you can help with some or all of the above elements then please get in touch so we can talk through things in more depth- dcrfu@rfu.com

What we will be able to offer you;

-support from fellow CB volunteers and RFU staff

-an exciting project with resources to deliver outside the box thinking

-stash

-a chance to develop your skill set/ knowledge and connections in the county

If you would like to get involved with volunteering with Durham county but don’t think this area is right for you please still get in touch at dcrfu@rfu.com
